Joel Hachem joins the Michigan Stars Oakland staff from the Stars Developmental Academy (SDA). He grew up in Nouakchott, Mauritania, where he played professional soccer for four years before moving to France to play for two years with the Bordeaux B team. Since 2017, Joel has coached college soccer in Flint, MI, where he started and coached both the men’s and women’s programs. He holds a doctorate in computer science with a specialization in cybersecurity. Joel also holds a USSF National D License and is currently pursuing his USSF National C License.
